Earlier this month, BURKE was awarded a Hermes Creative Gold Award for the company’s 20th Anniversary rebranding design and marketing materials. The award is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.
“We really wanted our rebrand to showcase our team’s creativity and design talent. We are both honored and thrilled that our work has been recognized by an internationally acclaimed award,” said Jack Burke, President and CEO of BURKE.
Over 4,700 entries were submitted from across the globe for the 2012 Hermes Awards. BURKE was awarded the Gold Award in the Design/Marketing Materials category for its high standard of excellence and work, receiving recognition as a benchmark for the industry. The winning designs included BURKE’s website www.burke.design, the collateral materials, and the new logo.
The logo’s design is an artistic representation of an ear, symbolizing BURKE’s commitment to not only hearing clients, but actually listening. Michael Nichols, author of The Lost Art of Listening, explains “there’s a big difference between showing interest and really taking interest.” It is BURKE’s mission to take those client interests and bring them to life in print, in publication, and online. That task is reflected in the artistic design elements of the awarded materials for its clear, crisp lines and cool color scheme.
