BURKE Communications developed an informational video for DataDot Technology Ltd’s new theft prevention product, CopDots. The video details the importance of identifying stolen property and the risks of leaving property susceptible to theft.
As outlined in the 4-minute video, CopDots is a first-of-its-kind crime prevention program. A special adhesive containing more than 3,000 microdots is applied by the consumer and identified by law enforcement using special CopDots detection kits. Each microdot is etched with a unique personal identification (PIN) number that is tracked via a secure database monitored by law enforcement for the identification of stolen property.
“It has been an honor to be a part of this project. CopDots can have an incredibly positive impact on the community, and our team is so excited to spread the word about the benefits of such an innovative product. I have no doubt CopDots will improve the lives of community members and change the way law enforcement approaches theft and larceny,” said Jack Burke, president and chief creative officer of BURKE.
Across the country, property crime is on the rise. The theft of valuables and assets can cost community members and businesses millions of dollars and a lost sense of security.
“CopDots seeks to bridge the gap between the victims of theft and law enforcement. We have provided a tool that allows members of the community to take control during circumstances that could leave them feeling alone and helpless. With the growing presence of CopDots detection kits in local law enforcement, crime and theft can be drastically reduced,” said Paul McClean, director of global business development for DataDot Technology Ltd.
