BURKE Communications has produced a video animation for Boston College’s University Advancement office that is being used to thank its alumni, parents, and friends for their generous gifts in support of the University’s mission during its 2012—2013 academic year.
The video animation produced by BURKE, titled “You Are BC,” acts as a visual lead-in for BC’s 2013 Impact of Giving Report (www.bc.edu/impact), a special microsite just for donors, and is being promoted through email and social media campaigns. BURKE’s chief relationship officer, Jim Shea, a Boston College alumnus, produced the animation for BURKE in conjunction with BC’s University Advancement Associate Director, Amanda Goodwin and its Boston College Fund. The 2D/3D animation illustrates how Boston College alumni have used their educations to effect social change on a global level, and how the participation of donors has made that possible.
“We are thrilled with the end product,” said Jim Husson, senior vice president for advancement at Boston College. “The response from alums has been overwhelmingly positive and we are grateful to BURKE for their generosity.”
“This was a project that we are very proud to have worked on,” said Shea. “While it will hit home primarily with Boston College alumni, parents and students, we’re hoping it might inspire others to use their education for the sake of positive social change.”
