Every year The Charlotte Touchdown Club’s sponsor and the Charlotte community look forward to The Touchdown Club’s luncheon series, which consist of 5 luncheons a year with speeches from Panther representatives, college coaches, and present and former professional players. BURKE has been a Pro Bowl Sponsor for The Charlotte Touchdown Club for many years and is excited to attend. This year the luncheon consisted of a speaker and a book signing with BURKE as the source of design.
On Friday, October 30th, 2015, The Touchdown Club held their speaker luncheon series at The Westin Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. This luncheon’s speaker was Dick Butkus, Chicago Bears Hall-of-Fame Linebacker. Butkus, now in his 70’s, answered some Q&A’s and talked about how his NFL career has made him honest and humble because of the way the NFL took advantage of him. As expected, it was truly a genuine and inspirational speech.
Jeff Dudan, Advantaclean’s CEO and a client here at BURKE, showcased his book, “Hey, Coach!” with a book signing before the luncheon. Burke was responsible for designing the book cover. Mariana Rojas, BURKE’s Art Director, states, “We created the cover and the illustrations that went into each chapter. I read the book and came up with different ideas for the cover. At the end, he chose a simpler cover that includes all the motivational phrases that the coach in the book tells the players in his baseball little league for encouragement”. It was a detailed creative process that had Rojas digging deep and studying Dudan’s words to find her inspiration for the finished book cover. At BURKE, we stay detailed and determined with each project to make it what we see it as and what our clients end up happy with.
