YWCA Central Carolinas held its WE BELIEVE annual fundraising luncheon last month at the Westin Charlotte. Featured at the event was the new We Believe video which follows the story of three families currently benefiting from YWCA’s transitional housing and youth programs.
“It was a privilege to help an organization like YWCA. They do great things in the Charlotte area and we really wanted the video to emphasize just how much their mission is impacting the lives of our community members,” said Jack Burke, CEO of BURKE.
The video narrated some of the heartfelt success stories of the YWCA’s program participants, highlighting YWCA’s characteristics of opportunity, hope and support. The video can be viewed here at https://vimeo.com/36709395
“At wrap, we had a powerful, compelling way to tell our story and convey our mission that will be used well beyond the successful fundraising luncheon where it premiered,” said Kirsten D. Sikkelee, Chief Executive Officer YWCA Central Carolinas.
YWCA Central Carolinas is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA supports more than 300 at-risk youth a day, as well as unaccompanied homeless women and families. In addition, it boasts an award-winning co-ed fitness center.
